CU Jewelry Thinking and Design - Everything is connected
With a deep passion for jewelry as a medium of personal expression and cultural symbolism, Claudia Ullrich creates elegant pieces that reflect her diverse academic background in English Cultural Studies, Religious Studies and Fine Arts at the University of Leipzig and Birmingham.
Her work explores the connection of fluid forms and meaning, especially expressed in the Endless Heart Talisman collection.
Through her studies, Claudia has developed a nuanced understanding of the interplay between the role of gender, cultural and religious identity and symbolism. Her designs include carefully selected materials such as fine gold, fine silver, precious stones as well as freshwater pearls that are designed to transcend boundaries between culture, gender and religion.
With the aim of touching your heart and soul, Claudia designs wearable everyday pieces and surprises with jewelry and artefacts for the extraordinary moments in life.
The brand Claudia Ullrich Fine Jewelry was founded in Hamburg, 2017.
The Jewelry Collections –
Symbols of Form, Meaning and Growth
The CU jewelry collections are an invitation to reflect on the role of culture, identity and the expression of personality through handcrafted signature jewelry pieces: The Chunk of Love, the anatomical heart talisman, is at the centre of the first jewelry collection: Endless Heart.
Something Borrowed I Something New, the second jewelry collection, serves a more delicate spirit, focusing on the purity of freshwater pearls and fine gold materials. Sustainability is conveyed not only in the material, but also in the way the jewelry pieces are handcrafted in Hamburg, with a selection of necklaces, earrings and one-of-a-kind pieces. Also available to rent for special occasions.
Dinner Wear - the new jewelry and artefact collection in the making - focuses on the blend of solid silver and fine gold jewelry design combined with unique everyday objects made of 999 fine silver such as re-interpretations of the classic silver babyspoon, straws for cocktail lovers and even a gua sha for your extra glow: everyday objects luxuriously re-invented to emphasize unique me-time moments, social gatherings with family and friends or the flair of intimate dinner parties enjoying inspiring talks.
All jewelry collections follow the process of invention and re-invention, as life is never predictable, the CU fine jewelry collections continue to grow.

The CU INSPIRATION and EXPERTISE
Claudia draws inspiration from an array of sources—both historical and contemporary, local and global. With a keen eye for detail, she absorbs the shapes, colors, and textures of her surroundings, from nature to architecture to the dynamic energy of urban life. Whether it’s the graceful lines of a dancer in motion or the striking simplicity of an industrial structure, Claudia finds beauty in contrasts.
She feels at home within the interplay of early natural forms and sources, Bauhaus minimalism, and 1930s Brutalism, where simple forms are enriched by subtle details.
Natural materials are sourced sustainably; Claudia works together with local silver and gold refineries being fully aware of the precious metals and gemstone origin. Environment-friendly gold and silver mining form the heart of her most frequent used material.
Fine gemstones such as turmaline, paraiba, morganite and aquamarine are responsibly mined, diamonds are ethically sourced and chosen in transparent communication with clients, sold with GIA certificates from 0.5carat. This accounts for laboratory diamonds as well.
Next to the in-house goldsmith workshop, Claudia works together with local renowned goldsmiths, metal engravers and expertised gemstone setters.
